My family has been here several times for KS High School State Track. The only downside is that there is absolutely no shade except under the stands where vendors are cooking. If going here in the spring or summer, bring sunscreen and a hat!
We always enjoy our time at Cessna for the highschool track and field State championship... The facilities are nice even if the grandstand needs to be redone (bathrooms especially). The neighborhood around the sports complex is ROUGH though.
…Watched 1-6A state track, and was very impressed. Obviously the only drawback is concessions like any other event. $5 for bottled water makes a 99 cent water from a gas station look pretty good.
